Before You Go

What International Visitors Need to Know

Shade selection is the most important decision you'll make. 

The pigment that looks perfect on Korean skin tones may read differently on yours. Choose a studio with documented experience working with international clients and diverse skin tones. Ask to see healed results on clients with similar coloring to yours.

Build recovery time into your itinerary. Immediately after any semi-permanent procedure, color appears significantly darker and more intense than the healed result. This is normal — and temporary. Allow 1–2 weeks for brows and lips, 3–5 days for eyeliner. Do not schedule important events or your return flight during this window.

Touch-ups are part of the process. 

Most semi-permanent procedures require one touch-up at 4–8 weeks as pigment settles. If you're visiting once and can't return, discuss this with your artist before the procedure — some studios can adjust their technique to compensate.

Before & After Care

• Stop retinol, AHA/BHA products at least 2 weeks before your procedure

• No alcohol or blood thinners 1 week before

• Avoid caffeine on the day — it increases sensitivity

• Keep the treated area dry for 1–2 weeks after

• SPF every day — UV exposure fades pigment faster

• Do not pick or peel scabs — this pulls pigment and creates gaps
